Over 50 years ago, a small group of men were busy organizing a club to enable further enjoyment of their dogs. Little did they know that their efforts would result in such an impact on the dog sport locally, nationally, and internationally. CBDC has progressed from a club that borrowed from its members to buy ground, build buildings and lakes, and all around turn a dream into a reality. We stand proud of our beautiful 124 acre facility.
Amo CBDC enjoys giving back to the community. Some of the things that we do to give back include helping needy families, supporting the local community and Boy Scouts, Hosting Hunter Safety Programs, and by our annual fishing outing for the handicapped.
Amo CBDC has a skeet range for you and your family to enjoy. Bring your own clays and use the range. The skeet range can be used Monday-Saturday but is closed on Sundays. Most importantly, have fun and be safe.
Amo, Indiana is the Home of NSTRA (National Shoot to Retrieve Association) NSTRA was established in 1978, an association initiated by the members of CBDC. Amo CBDC holds 2 National Competitions each year as well as many local trials. If you enjoy watching bird dogs work, You will not want to miss these competitions!
Here at our facility in Amo, Indiana, we have 2 ponds/ lakes on the property that members can fish in. The older lake is stocked with bass, catfish, and pan fish. Bring your family and spend a day out at the lake fishing!
The North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association is focused on the training and ethical breeding of versatile hunting dogs. There are over 95 chapters located throughout the US and Canada. NAVHDA offers four levels of non-competitive hunt tests to evaluate hunting ability in versatile breeds. The central Indiana NAVHDA chapter has several members who are also members of CBDC and utilize club grounds for training purposes.
